The Urban Development Corporation (UDCORP) under its mandate of encouraging and assisting Local Authorities in planning urban growth and development as well as improving the standards of living of general populace of Zimbabwe is inviting GIS Analysts to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) for registration on the Corporate’s Consultants Database.
- Conducting geospatial modelling and spatial analysis.
- Collect field data and develop standard and custom maps on different subjects using computer software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD or MapInfo.
- Monitoring developments using geo-referenced database.
- Creating maps and charts using mapping software and data gathered from field surveys or other sources.
- Developing a detailed analysis of complex issues using geographical information systems (GIS).
- A degree from a recogniozed university in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing or equivalent.
- GIS certification an added advantage
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a GIS environment
- Knowledge of civil engineering, mapping surveying principles.
- Knowledge of ArcMap, QGIS and any other ESRI products.
